Verizon is Blocking My Emails

Verizon is one of the worst companies to deal with when it comes to managing traffic with, especially when it comes to emails. It is impossible for us to whitelist an IP address with Verizon. We have come to this conclusion after many months of painstakingly trying to whitelist a number of different IP addresses with Verizon. It isn't that the IP addresses are known for sending spam but the erroneous listing by Verizon to label parts of our IP address space as dynamic instead of static. We do not provide dynamic IP addresses, only static.

Although only a small number of clients are currently affected by this blacklisting, we will no longer assist in trying to whitelist any future IP addresses with Verizon. We recommend clients try and contact Verizon directly, if you are a customer of Verizon, many of our customers have had luck whitelisting the affected IP addresses by calling Verizon customer support. For those without Verizon services, at this time you are out of luck.

This is not a problem exclusive to Mean Servers but almost all web hosting companies have problems with Verizon, even other major Internet Service Providers. Please see https://forums.verizon.com/t5/Verizon-net-Email/Verizon-is-blocking-emails-I-send-to-any-Verizon-net-customers/td-p/512341 for additional details on the problems others have faced in regards to whitelisting IP addresses with Verizon. There is no simple solution and the problem is clearly on Verizon's end.

Note that we can try and change your IP address but you will be subjected to the standard IP address swap charge. Clients will be responsible for swapping out the old IP address with the new one. Managed VPS and Managed Dedicated Server customers are NOT exempt from this swap charge and may be responsible for paying the hourly rate as this service is not covered under our server management plans.

Swapping the IP address for another by no means guarantees email deliverability either and we cannot offer refunds should this not solve the problem. We also do not have a list of IP addresses under our control that we can guarantee will work with Verizon, it is very hit and miss. The best bet is to again, contact Verizon directly.
